Аннотация

The article starts by providing a brief  introduction to portfolio, portfolio assessment, and its importance in development of linguistic abilities in foreign language teaching. Then it concludes by emphasizing  benefits of portfolios through questionnaires and interviews in language learning, indicating challenges in carrying out portfolio assessment, and providing suggestions for the future research.
