Listening at the initial stage of learning is one of the most pressing topics in modern methods of teaching English, since without listening, verbal communication is impossible. It is at the initial stage that the foundations of speech skills and abilities are formed, which makes the use of listening more effective both as a goal and as a means in teaching a foreign language.
