Abstract

This article explores the pivotal role of authentic materials in enhancing language teaching effectiveness, with a specific focus on English instruction. Authentic materials, derived from real-world sources, bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-life language use. The paper delves into the benefits of incorporating authentic materials, such as newspapers, videos, and authentic texts, in language classrooms. It also addresses practical strategies for integrating these materials into language teaching methodologies, aiming to create a dynamic and immersive learning environment. The study advocates for a pedagogical shift towards utilizing authentic materials to cultivate linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding among language learners.
