Dunyo miqyosidagi keng maydonlarga ta'sir qiladigan asosiy ekologik muammolardan biri bu tuproqning degradatsiyasi hisoblanadi. Tuproqlarning degradatsiyasi turli shakllarda vujudga kelib, ularning unumdorligi yomonlashuviga, hosildorligining sifat va miqdor jihatdan pasayishiga hamda ekosistema bilan bogʼliq muammolarni shakllanishiga olib kelmoqda.
