TEACHING VOCABULARY TO INTERMEDIATE LEARNERS USING PICTORIAL ELUCIDATION

The use of graphical explication to teach vocabulary to intermediate learners is covered in this article. The author makes the case that visual aids can improve language learning by giving new words a context and enhancing memory. The article explains how to create and use visual elucidations, including how to pick the right pictures and work them into lesson plans. The author also offers instances of this approach being used successfully in the classroom.
