This study aims to identify the vocabulary assessment strategies used by teachers in student assessment.what are the results of using vocabulary and vocabulary assessment strategies in secondary schools increase students' vocabulary. This study uses a qualitative description used in data collection the questionnaire was entered into a google form and distributed to 10 English teachers from different schools In North Sumatera. Vocabulary practice strategies used - memorization, puzzle games, paper shapes
