Abstract

In this article, the concept of media literacy is highlighted, and the definitions given to this concept by well-known scientists are comparatively analyzed. In addition,  to providing information about the necessity and importance of media literacy in society, we will pay special attention to the term that has become a popular term of our modern life , such as the evolution of information culture. In the course of our analysis, the terms media education, information culture and media literacy were widely discussed. Then,  we will explore the evolution of media literacy and information culture, and discuss its importance in today's society.
