Abstract

Currently, around the world there is a trend towards less invasiveness when performing surgical interventions, as a result of which the number of laparoscopic and robotic operations performed has sharply increased, along with a decrease in the frequency of traditional open surgery. The popularization of laparoscopic technology has led to a significant reduction in the period of patient stay in the hospital and to the fact that patients began to experience less fear of the upcoming intervention. Robot-assisted surgery has served as a platform for integrating modern technological developments into the now traditional minimally invasive surgery.
