Abstract

This work examines unique procedural and criminological aspects of conducting expertise in criminal cases in developed countries. The authors explore the specifics and peculiarities of the evidential process and the use of expert knowledge in court cases. Particular attention is given to progressive methods, such as the use of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in criminology. Comparative analysis allows for the identification of distinctive features of the expertise process in different jurisdictions and emphasizes their effectiveness in combating crime. The research findings may be useful for the improvement of criminal procedural legislation and the practice of conducting expertise in other countries.
